Our Chief Risk Taker is a valuable asset to any design team. Although he is currently quite happy to take a back seat and offer advise on building codes, materials and fabrication techniques, he has designed several restaurants and pubs himself and has a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Alberta with a specialization in furniture and display design. It is more common practice though today to work with a specialized restaurant interior designer in conjunction with a restaurant construction contractor to achieve the best possible results, and we have chosen to represent the latter.

Retrofit will also take on a consulting role if that is all that is currently required:

• Budgeting: determining general costs for a build within a specific site, to help make decisions on viability and financing

• Space planning: generating sketch models of layouts that will optimize the balance between kitchen and front of house, while meeting building codes and maximizing occupancy

• Timetables: create realistic timelines from real world models, showing flowcharts for expectations of design, permitting, and construction schedules.

• Maintenance: One of our unique differences is that we will continue to keep your business running smoothly. We offer maintenance and repair services in all the trades. One call is all you need to make!

• Upgrades: As a successful business needs to evolve, we offer smaller services to accommodate. A new waitress station, signage, flooring, patio heaters, or paint job. We'll take care of it.
